'Double Indemnity' Director: Billy Wilder (1944) Screenplay: Wilder and Raymond Chandler Starring: Fred McMurray Barbara Stanwyck Edward G. Robinson

Quintessential film noir. An insurance salesman falls under the seductive power of a client's wife, soon they are plotting the husband's death to collect the 'double indemnity' policy. What could go wrong? The dialogue is whip smart and the atmosphere oppressively tense.
